Bobby Lewis is a multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, producer, and lighting designer living in Brooklyn, NY. Since beginning his music career at age 9, when Bobby wrote and sang parodies of late ‘90s hits, he has been dedicated to understanding every step of music production in both live and studio environments. After performing with his first band, Frozen Ice, at his Bar Mitzvah, his passion for music became undeniable, setting him firmly on the path to pursue a career in music.

Years later, after receiving a Performing Arts Technology degree from the University of Michigan, Bobby’s musical journey brought him to NYC in 2013, when he was hired as an intern at the prestigious Trout Recording in Brooklyn. Shortly after that, he started using his mixing skills and passion for the local music scene as a house engineer at many of New York’s high-profile smaller venues. Through his dedication to the craft and ability to run successful shows simultaneously on sound and lights, Bobby became a go-to option for local bands who wanted to bring live shows to their full potential.

Naturally, this led to more artists reaching out to Bobby about making records. In March 2020, local favorite and international rock stars Bodega enlisted Bobby to produce their second album after collaborating on live shows in the past. Since making Broken Equipment, Bobby has produced albums for Kid Le Chat and Tine Hill (of Gustaf) and works with his current band, Whenwolves.

In addition to working as an engineer, producer, and musician, Bobby has also supplied sound effects tracks to animations, scored films, and has run light shows all over New York City for various artists.
